Kennels

Elmtree luxury Pet Hotel is a purpose built facility set in 4 acres of land in a lovely country park!

There are 55 very spacious kennels arranged in 2 buildings. All Kennels have under floor heating and their own exercise areas. They all benefit from countryside views. We also have an indoor play area full of toys and agility equipment to stimulate your dog.

Kennels Services

Every kennel has its own fully covered outdoor exercise area together with a cosy indoor living room. Not only will your dog be walked daily there is also a large indoor play area full of toys to entertain and stimulate your pet.

We do supply luxury bedding, but we also actively encourage clients to bring their own bedding and toys if they prefer as it can help to settle your pet in to its new environment.

We cater for all dietary requirements using only premium quality food. There’s a grooming parlour on site so while you’re away your dog or cat can be fully groomed or just have a nice bath. Some of our kennels will have a web cam service to enable you to keep in touch with your best friend.

We understand having pets of our own, how difficult, even upsetting it can be leaving them in another persons care, but we will treat them as we do our own, giving them lots of love and attention. We will follow your pets normal routine allowing them to settle in faster.

Security and Safety

The Wellbeing and saftey of your pets is of paramount importance to us. As well as having CCTV cameras all round the site we also have 24 hour awake security to ensure your pets safety at all times.

Vaccinations

All pets must be up-to-date with their vaccinations.

For dogs these should be:
• Distemper
• Hepatitis
• Leptospirosis
• Canine Parvovirus
• Bordetella (kennel cough)

For cats these should be:
• Herpesvirus
• Calicivirus
• Feline Influenza

No pet will be admitted without proof of up-to-date vaccinations.

Diet

We believe in offering a good balanced diet and use James Wellbeloved dry food. This is a natural hypoallergenic complete dry food and comes in a range of flavours. We also stock wet foods if your pet prefers. We are happy for you to supply your pets food. This will be given in accordance with your instructions.

Medication

If medication is required to be administered this will be undertaken provided the animal will accept the medication without resistance and that the medication can be given by a person who does not have veterinary qualifications.

Exercise

A well-exercised dog is a happy dog! All our kennels have their own large individual covered exercise area. We also have an indoor play area where the sporty types can blast around our fun agility course. All dogs will be walked once a day in our fully enclosed field. If your dog requires extra walking/playing sessions these can be arranged at an extra cost.

Exercise & Play

Each dogs day is tailored to fit their individual needs both mentally and physically.

We have indoor and outdoor fully enclosed exercise areas where our guests can play. For the really sporty type we have a mini agility course. (Supervised by our trained agility instructor)

If your dog enjoys a little bit more relaxation then they can spend time in our chill out zone with a member of staff for company or try their paw at some mentally stimulating games.

Daycare/ Daycreche

Day care is available between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Walks

Dogs are walked 20 minutes of walks are provided daily

All dogs will have one lead walk a day in our fully enclosed grounds allowing them to explore their new surroundings.

Easy & Steady Dogs
Easy going dogs can relax in our chill out zone or go for a leisurely country walk.

Active Dogs
We understand active dogs can find kennel life restricting so we have indoor and outdoor exercise areas where our guests can have free play with a member of staff and also have use of our mini agility course.

Cattery

Calm, relaxing with piped music playing throughout the day!

30 Cat Pens with a very calm relaxing place with piped music playing throughout the day. Each cat is provided with its own luxury bedding both in the heated sleeping area and in the outside run where they can take advantage of the views through the anti-glare full length window. We also provide a scratching pad to help keep their nails down.

Our dedicated staff spend time throughout the day either playing with the guests or giving them a cuddle and a lap to sit on. Each of the cat pens can house 2 cats so friends can stay together.

Pet Taxi Service

Why not take advantage of our collect and delivery service in our air conditioned vehicle. Rates on request.

Vet

In the unfortunate event that your pet becomes ill whilst staying with us we have an excellent local veterinary practise, Village Vet, available 24 hours a day. All animals are insured whilst staying and so vet fees will be covered apart from any pre-existing or re-occurring conditions. (Please notify us of any pre-existing or re-occurring conditions before leaving your pet.)

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any pet showing signs of ill health apon arrival.
