We understand that your plans can change. We value your custom, therefore all we ask is that you let us know as soon as possible of any changes so we can re-let your booking.

Please remember to bring your pet's vaccination certificate with you. Strictly no dogs will be admitted without the production of an up-to-date certificate. This will be for the usual annual boosters and also for kennel cough. For kennel cough the certificate should show INTRAC and this is administered by the vet as a nasal spray. This requires boosting every twelve months.

Please check your dog for fleas, worms and ear mites and where possible treat before coming to the kennel. If your pet has an existing medical condition it is crucial that we know about it in advance. Any medication that is required should be supplied with clear instructions on administration. Please ensure there is sufficient to cover the boarding period.
Our insurance only covers injury or illness that occurs directly from the stay with us. Summer Hill Boarding Kennels will ask you to pay any veterinary costs incurred if it is determined that the illness was a long-standing condition or previously known but not declared.
When your pet stays with us we take every precaution to ensure its health, safety and happiness. Should he become unwell we will take immediate action, either by taking your pet to our closest vet at the Nantwich Veterinary Hospital or by phoning your own vet for advice on the action to take.

All combine to give your companion a stress-free break.
The emphasis is upon creating a healthy, happy comfortable environment for your pet. We offer excellent facilities and individual care from dedicated professionals where your pet's welfare is paramount. Your pet always has access to a covered external run. THE KENNELS:
Individually heated kennels and well-insulated buildings provide warm, comfortable accommodation for all breeds, ages and sizes of dogs. Plastic beds with thermal Vetbed for bedding, together with epoxy floors (not just painted) means we can maintain an extremely high level of hygiene.
Dogs have access at all times to an attached covered run in addition to being exercised daily in our 2 acres of securely fenced grass exercise paddocks. All dogs are exercised individually unless from the same household.
Attention to detail has been a priority in the design and construction of all our boarding units. We have kennel units specifically designed for small, large and families of dogs in addition to a separate kennel unit for animals in need of convalescence or rest, bitches in whelp or with new litters, and also bitches in season.
Bedding, Bowls and Toys
All bedding, bowls etc., is provided by Summer Hill Boarding Kennels, but if you bring your own pet's bedding then please ensure it is cleaned about two days prior to boarding so it has familiar smells for comfort. All the kennels are individually heated so we know your dog will be warm and cosy. We also encourage a comfort toy for your companion while he is staying with us.
Illness
In the unfortunate event of a dog becoming ill during his stay, a veterinary surgeon is on call 7 days a week. We have full isolation facilities and an examination room for this purpose. Our vet is located less than half a mile away. Summer Hill Boarding Kennels insurance will cover any costs incurred if the illness is a result of his stay with us. If it is as a result of a pre-existing condition we will ask you to meet the cost.
Vaccinations
All dogs boarding with us must hold a current vaccination certificate (DHLP), plus the INTRAC vaccine for kennel cough. We regret that without this no dog will be admitted to the kennels. This will need to be produced each time your dog stays at Summer Hill.
Food and Medication
We have a comprehensive range of dog food available, from popular tinned products to complete all in one feeds. Veterinary diets can also be catered for as well as dogs with specific feeding instructions. No discount is given if owners bring in their own food.
We are also happy to administer medication if required.
The kennels are fully insured, and licensed by the Local Authority.
